Traveling east over the Fox River soon will be easier

thanks to the ongoing construction of the Stearns Road bridge which is approximately 58% complete. This is good news for Thornwood residents who desire quick and easy access to the east side of the Fox River.

The bridge will connect the Kane/DuPage County border to Randall Road at McDonald Road and add a main thoroughfare across the Fox River. It will also include new multi-use trail paths and trail enhancements.

For thorough information about the project, check out this informative website: Stearns Road Bridge. Where you can see specific maps and a cool time lapse view of the construction.
